WOODSTOCK, Ontario – Pro Fleet Care is excited to announce Matthew Lawrie as owner / operator of its Woodstock / Oxford territory.

“I had just graduated high school and was looking at what I wanted to do and what I wanted for my future,” begins Matthew. “ I was one years old when our first dealer joined Pro Fleet Care in 2008. I grew up in and around Pro Fleet Care my whole life and I have been watching the success of its dealers and their businesses. Prior to joining Pro Fleet Care, I had been interested in the trades instead of university. Over the past couple years I have done several internships in the trades and have experience in construction, framing, and automotive mechanics,” Matthew continues. “With my savings and a little bit of seed money from my parents I was able to negotiate a deal to purchase a retiring dealers business. Bill Wilson, the previous owner / operator of Pro Fleet Care Woodstock / Oxford, is mentoring me and helping me transition customers. Bill has always had a heart for mentoring young men into the automotive industry having been a former service manager of the Woodstock Chrysler. I am thankful he took a chance on me and has taught me the ropes,” Matthew adds. “I have ambitions to one day lead Pro Fleet Care as President. I know that working from the ground up is the only way to have the knowledge to lead the Pro Fleet Care team forward.”

“I watched Matthew grow up throughout the years as he has been around the business since one years old,” says Bill Wilson, the previous owner / operator of Pro Fleet Care Woodstock / Oxford. “He has grown to be a great young man with drive, ambition, and the desire to learn. I am encouraged by his good work ethic and believe that one day he will have the ability to lead the Pro Fleet Care dealers to the next level. I am happy that I have been able to play a major role in his development in this industry,” Bill continues. “Matthew’s grandfather, Bob Lawrie, pioneered the mobile rust control industry in 1984 when he set up the first ever mobile truck taking rust control service to fleet owners. Bob and his son, Greg Lawrie, started offering franchises in 2008. I was their second dealer to ever join the system. I have had a great experience working with Greg and Bob Lawrie throughout the years and I am thankful for the time I have been a Pro Fleet Care owner / operator. It has been a pleasure to serve my local community and provide a lasting solution to the harmful and costly effects of rust.”
